In many sales scenarios, offering prices that vary based on the quantity purchased is a valuable business strategy. This approach allows businesses to incentivize larger orders by providing quantity discounts or tiered pricing structures. Typically, the unit price decreases as the quantity sold increases, encouraging customers to buy in bulk and helping businesses boost sales volume and customer loyalty.
Price matrix feature does not support pricing that depends on the quantity sold. The price matrix is designed for fixed price relationships and does not accommodate dynamic price adjustments based on order volume. However, there is a workaround that can help.
Create a new Item called “Set of 5 Items”, set a selling Price for it and specify that this item is assembled from 5 units of the basic Item. Enable the auto-assembly option. Each time the user adds the “Set of 5 Items” to a sales document, the system will automatically post the assembly transaction, increasing the stock quantity of the “Set of 5 Items” while decreasing the stock quantity of the individual component items.
