Use QR-code or link to download and install AccountingSuite.apk for your Android smartphone or tablet-pc. The 8″-10″ screen tablets are more convenient for working in horizontal mode.
After installation, select Try AccountingSuite Demobase from the MobApp Start Page to try how it works or use address of your company database.
In the cloud version AccountingSuite, the mobile application is available and works without additional settings.
In the on-premise version AccountingSuite, the mobile application needs to set up web server in your company network.
How to set up web server:
Information security of the mobile application #
If the mobile application will work with confidential data, we strongly recommend using the security features provided by mobile operating systems.:
- periodically locking the device
- access by entering a password or drawing
- deleting data in case of consecutive incorrect password entry
- third-party programs that can be used to remotely clear the device of all data (for example, “Find my iPhone”)
iOS devices always encrypt the file system with a key that is generated from the phone password. Encryption in Android devices can be enabled in the settings. The password must contain at least eight characters, which include both letters and numbers. Remember: the more complex the password, the harder it is to crack it.
AccountingSuite MobApp additionally provides:
- Log in to the database with a password
- Using biometrics (Fingerprint or FaceId) to confirm the login
Are there any risks of gaining access to confidential information if the device is lost?
The mobile application does not store data in itself, but receives it from the server. To prevent access to online data, it is necessary to change the user’s password as soon as possible.
How is the data transfer performed between the mobile client and the server?
The mobile application interacts with the information base over the HTTP/HTTPS protocol. If we draw an analogy with the desktop version of the AccountingSuite, then the mobile application is an analog of a thin client working with an information database published on a web server. Please use HTTPS protocol when publishing AccountingSuite on your web server. Cloud AccountingSuite version is using HTTPS protocol.
