Opening balances for the assets

To book the opening balances for the assets, please follow these steps:

  1. Create the Asset groups for your assets. In the Asset groups, the assets share the Asset type and the Depreciation frequency. Asset types available in AccountingSuite Asset management module are: Fixed assets, Intangible assets, Prepaid expenses and Low value assets. Please note, that Asset type is a fixed list, that cannot be adjusted by the user.
  2. Create the Assets. Use the Data Import Tool to create multiple assets.
  3. Create Initial recognition documents for the assets
  4. Enter the opening balances for the assets using a Data import tool in the Journal Entry:
